I would love to be a beta tester. How do I sign up?

Please navigate to the homepage on this website and click the register for open beta!

Will access be subscription-based? How much will it cost?

When the app is ready it will be a standard subscription type of membership. We are working on the pricing model.

I got my invite to the beta but I can’t find my Testflight email.

Please check your spam/junk folders. Many folks have found them there.

Is there a tutorial on how to use the app?

Not currently, but every registered beta tester gets a slide deck of the app’s screens with labels. If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to respond to the invitation letter from Terry.

Can anyone access the app?

Yes, with registration. The app is a run club app that supports the ZEAL community. If you’ve found us via the web, congratulations and welcome! However, most will know us through our Facebook site.

How do I provide feedback and suggestions in the beta?

The best and fastest way is to email Terry.

Why aren’t you posting Terry’s email here?

Bots, page scrappers, and spammers will grab anything like an email and send junk and we’d rather avoid that. If you need Terry’s email, join our Facebook community, or register for the beta!

What platform(s) will the app be available on?

iPhone with Apple iOS ver 17+

The music keeps playing even though the coach is disconnected.

The music is streamed to your phone in such a way that it will function for a while even after losing phone signal.

I have lost the coach’s voice, how do I reconnect?

The current way to reconnect is to leave the run, or close the app and rejoin the session. We are working on an automatic reconnection feature to avoid doing this in the future.

The music is not playing.

We have independent volume controls for the music and the coach. Ensure that you’ve adjusted the music volume as high as it will go to ensure it’s not just very quiet. The volume starts at a very low level to allow for users to adjust it to their preference.

What music apps will play with On-Demand?

So far the app has worked with the following apps as reported by users and/or our internal testing:

  • Spotify

  • Apply Music

  • Sirius XM

  • Amazon Prime Music

How can we listen to our own music?

In order to listen to your own music, simply turn the volume of the live music to the minimum setting. Then open your favorite music app, begin the playlist, and return back to Zeal. It should reduce the volume of your music app automatically. If it does not, you can try to bump up the Zeal music volume which should force the other app to lower it’s volume, then return the Zeal music to 0.

If you’re using Spotify and you want the music to be even more reduced, you can lower the volume in the Spotify app using the instructions below.

How can I lower my Spotify volume?

If the Spofity volume is still too high after ducking, then please go to this page and follow the instructions to lower it further.
